This 3-headed elephant, Airavata, was born of khun Lek Viriyapant's ideas and imagination. It was inspired by his wish to preseve his collection of antiques as a contribution to Thai cultural heritage.

- Located @ Kanchanaburi which is on the West of Bangkok.
- About 2 hours drive from Bangkok.
- Admission Fee : Free
- During World War 2, the Japanese used Allied prisoners of war to build a railway from Thailand to Burma so they could supply their army without the dangers of sending supplies by sea.
- Many prisoners died under appalling conditions during its construction, and the line became known as the 'Death Railway'.
- There are still carries regular passenger trains using this railway. For anyone interested in 20th century history, a visit to Kanchanaburi and the infamous Death Railway is a must.

JEATH War Museum
- Located just beside the Death Railway (walking distance)
- One of two war museums in Thailand about the Death Railway built from 1942 to 1943 by Allied POWs under the direction of the Japanese.
- The acronym JEATH stands for the primary nationalities involved in the construction of the railway: Japanese, English, Australian, American, Thai and Holland.

- Located @ Kanchanaburi, about 3.5 hours drive from Bangkok.
- Major activity: Sit with fully grown tigers and have your photograph taken with these wild animals. Join the monks of the Kanchanaburi tiger temple for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
- History : The first tiger was brought to the Pha Luang Ba Tua Buddhist Temple in 1998 after being injured by a hunter, but died within days. Soon after, two very ill cubs arrived with large knife wounds in their stomachs. Miraculously, they survived, and the temple quickly earned a reputation as a tiger haven. " When the villagers saw how we tended to the first tigers they brought others. Some were injured by hunters who had a change of heart, others by people who did not want the tiger near their village but also did not want to see it die," Phusit said. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) estimates that there are between 150 and 500 tigers remaining in the wild in Thailand. Healthy tigers from the Temple are sent back to the forest once they are ready to return. To return to the wild, the tigers do not have far to go. The tiger temple sits on a small plain surrounded by jagged rocky outcrops about 40 kilometers beyond the famous World War II - The Bridge on the River Kwai. - The Naval History Park at Chulachomklao Fortress is situated at the mouth of Chao Phraya River, Samut Prakan Province (29 km south of Bangkok)
- Chulachomklao Fortress is a modern fort and has played an important role in protecting the sovereignty of Thailand during 1893 against unfriendly forces.

- Located @ Tambon Bang Pu Mai. Near the 37 kms marker on Sukhumwit Road
- It is the army's rehabilitation and relaxation center but members of the public can also enter and enjoy its beautiful scenery.
- Between the end of the year and April, large numbers of seagulls flock to the area and the pier is a popular place to watch and feed them.

- Ancient Siam (formerly known as Ancient City) is the world's biggest open-air museum.
- Situated close to the Crocodile Farm in Samut Prakan province, the 320-hectare city features 116 structures of Thailand's famous monuments and architectural attractions.
- OPENING HOURS: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- ADMISSION: 350 baht for adults and 150 baht for children. There is a two price system and Thai people only pay 200 baht. You can get this price if you have a work permit.

- One of Bangkok's major markets, focusing on clothes which makes it Thailand's largest clothing market.
- Things start to get really cheap when you're buying bulk (whole sale). Normally buying 3 piece and above will have great discount.
- You can find a lot of pirated clothes such as Adidas, Nike, Levis and etc selling there and there looks original.
- The market is open 24 hours a day with various offers, from 9AM to 8PM (in reality, it's more like 11AM-6PM)
- Recommended on clothes. Can't find any place cheaper than here.

- The Erawan Shrine (officially named Thao Maha Brahma) or Four Faced Buddha is the most popular shrine amongst Asian tourists and locals in Bangkok.
- It is said that each of the four faces represent the elements of the earth that face four different directions.
- In a clockwise direction starting at the entrance, the first Face which represents the Face of Peace and Health, Face of Good Fortune, Face of Good Relationships and Face of Protection against Evils.
- Visiting Times: Brahma Shrine: 6.00-23.00 hrs
- Getting There: Skytrain to Siam Square if you are from the Silom Line or skytrain to Chit Lom Station if you are in Sukhumvit Line.

- It is advisable to get the map for Chatuchak market (tourist center there) before you start shopping. You may get lost easily if you are 1st time been there.

- Located at Ratchaburi Province, about 100 km southwest of Bangkok.
- Largest and best known floating market among Thai and foreign tourists.
- 500 baht for 3 hours.
- The souvenir there is very expensive. Not recommended to buy stuff there.
- Can buy food to eat there and to experience the scenery there.
